Pizza & Intimate Connections

Mamma mia! We held our second “Pizza and Intimate Connections” night at Pinsa Rossa, and let us tell you — it was a heartwarming, belly-filling evening of genuine connection and all the carbs you could want.

The night started with delicious Italian food (think crispy Brussels sprouts, arancini, and endless slices of pinsa, a Roman-style pizza so good you’ll never settle for plain old pie again). Over the course of the evening, conversations flowed as easily as the prosecco, with every table buzzing over meaningful exchanges.

Here’s the fun twist: Each gal selected a topic or two that they wanted to bond over, and those topics were printed on their nametags. From “Hinge survivor” to “working on self-confidence” to “figuring out what’s next,” we made space for honest, open conversations about the things that matter most to us. Topics ranged from lighthearted to deeply personal, and there was truly something for everyone:

  • Creative pursuits

  • Dealing with grief

  • New to the city

  • Women of color

  • Faith/spirituality/religion

  • Queer identity

… and so many more!

To wrap up the evening, we held a raffle to keep the connection going. Each guest wrote down the names of three women they bonded with on one side of a card and their own contact info on the other. The lucky winner took home a SFWSC tote bag full of goodies! But honestly, the real prize was the friendships and conversations that came out of the night.

This event reminded us of the power of shared meals, open hearts, and a little push to connect with someone new. Thank you to everyone who came out and made this gathering so special. We’re already looking forward to the next one. Until then, don’t forget — whether it’s through pizza or deep talks, the best connections are always the ones where you show up as your most authentic self. Ciao for now!
