The Picnic Series
Picnics hold a special place in our hearts because they were the first type of event that the Club had. When Helen first started sharing her story with the vision of getting a few girls together, she was always amazed how within the span of two hours, a park would start with her, feeling a little scared that no one would show up, to hundreds of women filling the space with laughter and stories, sharing wine and snacks.
A few of our favorite picnic spots are Lafayette Park, Fort Mason, Alta Plaza, and we’re looking forward to throwing many more picnics expanding to different parts of the city. We are thrilled to be celebrating Pride this month with a Queer Picnic in Dolores Park this upcoming Sunday.
