The Sailing Series
One of our favorite event series that we’ve done with the Club has been our Sailing Series (not really sailing, we just like the name). We’ve teamed up with a local charter company to get the girls on the bay about twice a week in the summertime. Something we love about joining the Club is that you get to experience things you wouldn’t usually be able to without a pre-established massive group. What starts as 50 nervous strangers ends in a community of women who have bonded over the sun setting over the bay (& the freezing wind), sharing a bottle of wine, and talking about the nuances of being a woman living in a city.
A few words from our last sail:
“I moved to San Francisco 2 weeks ago, and was so worried about making friends. Now I’m leaving this boat party with a community, and it’s so awesome.”
“I was feeling super nervous about attending, not knowing anyone, but everyone was so kind and I’ve made some new girlfriends. Amazing 1st SFWSC experience.”
“I’ve been to about 8 SFWSC events, and they never disappoint, but tonight was so special. I can’t wait for the next few events.”
